Generate HTML

Introduction

Creating the HTML required for the speakers page can be time consuming and frustrating as it has to be precise HTML code. You can use the import tool to produce the HTML for you. With this you will not being using the Plugin Speakers system but rather just generating code that you can paste into the page.

A quick how-to video has been produced to show you how to do this.

Make sure you are using an excel file in the exact same format as the sample

Import Steps

The process is as follows:

1. Use the Sample Excel to create your speaker list
2. Select Speakers → Speaker Import from the Dasboard
3. Click 'Choose File' and select your XLSX file
4. If the file is properly formated the Speaker Preview tab should populate with the content from the excel file
5. Preview this content, if it is ok click the HTML tab
6. Copy and Paste this HTML code into the WordPress page
7. Use the checkboxes to:
   1. Add the shortcode for the Microsite 3 theme
   2. Enable / Disable biographies
   3. Add the Placeholder HTML for the image. Make sure to upload / add photos later!
