Digital Experience Page

Overview​

This page is meant to sell the value of a digital conference. It's audience is both the Program / Conference director as well as potential registrants.

There is one paragraph that can be currently customised.

Add to your site​

This page operates as a Page Template in WordPress.

Create the Page​

  1. Add a new page as normal through the WordPress Dashboard
  2. Enter a page title, such as The Digital Experience
  3. Add the custom text to the page in the normal editor space
  4. Update the url (if desired) but clicking the Edit button below the title
  5. Under Page Attributes select Experience from the dropdown
  6. Publish or Update the page

Add the Page to the Main Menu​

  1. From the dashboard select Appearance > Menus
  2. Look for the Primary Menu, this will be noted with (primary) beside the menu title
  3. Click Select, the main menu will now be loaded in the space below
  4. Under Most Recent, find the Experience Page you just created, check it and click Add to Menu
  5. Move the item on the right side to where you want it in the menu order
  6. Rename the menu item to something small, such as Experience. Do this by clicking the Down Arrow beside the newly added menu item. Change the Navigation Label text.

Add a row to the Home Page​

Once you have created the page and added it to the menu, you may also want to add a row to the bottom of the homepage.

  1. Click Appearence > Theme Options > Digital Conference
  2. Select the page from the dropdown menu
