Documentation Overview
About the CPD Technical Documentation
This documentation section is meant to give an overview and coding examples for use on both the CPD Main website and the CPD Microsites using the standard theme.
Use the categories on the left to learn how to use specific features of CPD websites.
Shortcodes
These are WordPress specific shortcodes that use [] brakets. When used they will output block of text or someother block of html. Examples include the Cancellation Statement or the standard CPD Accreditation statement.
Layout Blocks
There are several pages on the CPD microsites that require more complex html. Rather than building in a system these plain html blocks allow for ultimate flexibility. Example of content blocks are Speakers and Sponsors.
Page Templates
There are several pages within the CPD microsites that also provide basic content. An example of this is the Digital Experience page.
Alerts
There are two kinds of alerts on the CPD micro site: Sitewide and Page.
However there are several different use-cases for these alerts, from noting that registration has closed to the more automated "Live Conference" alert.
Note: Unless otherwise noted, each help document refers to the CPD Mircosite theme used by Programs & Conferences.
